The results of the study show that; 1) The form of parenting patterns applied by migrant parents to children is Democratic parenting; parents give freedom and involve children in making decisions in the family and Authoritarian parenting; parents limit social interaction and make rules that must be obeyed by children. However, parents tend to use democratic parenting patterns. The choice of parenting patterns is caused by the parents' work factors, 2) The impact of parenting patterns applied by migrant parents on children's behavior, namely children act as they please, accept the situation, tend to break the rules, are quiet, wasteful and also withdrawn, 3) the development of children who live away from home, this study highlights the impact of these parenting patterns on aspects of child development, including cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral aspects.

The implications of this study are the need for more attention to the welfare and development of children who live with parents who travel, as well as the need for efforts to increase social support and available family resources. Further studies can explore more deeply the dynamics of child care and development in the context of migrant families.
